    EK1 marked 55 - twice

    I've had this EK1 since 1980 and mainly a LW badge guy so know very little here.

    Always been curious about the double mark under the catch and inside the pin.



    I see from the list that 55 is;

    55 J.E. Hammer & Sohne Geringswalde


    Is everything good with it?

      That's a Maybauer, "7". Possibly somebody mailed it to try and add value?

            Thanks everyone, makes sense. I always thought it was unusual to have what was clearly a single '5' stamp used twice as nothing is lined up proper.
            At least they didn't do any real damage and it's only cosmetic on the back.
