    Knight's Cross Case

I recently bought a large collection of original Imperial German medals and World War II German medals, most of which were reproductions. These items were purchased in the 60s and 70s by a collector in New Jersey who has been deceased for a long time (I bought the items from his grandson). Among the grouping was a Knight's Cross case. I have the original description of the offering from the 1970s and the within the case, was an 800 L/21 marked Knight's Cross (I have no way of knowing if it was original because it was no longer in the collection when I purchased it). My question is, is the case an original case from World War II, a case for the 1957 version, or a reproduction? And what about the ribbon?

        Hello,
57 era or later imo. Ribbon may have a chance.
        Kind regards,
        E.

            Barry,

Can you post a clear closer pic of the ribbon with stripes oriented vertically? That will help get towards an answer on originality.

            Best regards!

            Bob
