Q: EK2 ribbon colour

Hello my friends,

I'd like to know the ribbon colour.
What I know now is 'red', 'orange', and 'reddish brown' and I see that it has 'yellow' colour.


Do you have any other colour?

red - a common ribbon

orange - from early EK? What make do you usually find it? K&Q?, Deumer? and schinkel EK...

reddish brown - It's easy to find it in the Wächtler & Lange.

yellow - What is the main manufacturer that is find?

other colour - Is there anything else?

Hi :
EK2 ribbons to the most part have red in the center . (or at times minor different shades of red ) .
Quit a few makers of ribbons accounts most likely for the different reds .
EK2 Manufacturers got big rolls of ribbon and used what they got .
Different center colors are mainly early - only orange seams to be around longer .

Below you see -> some <- of the different colors and variations .
I do not have all of them and some colors fade badly and others do not .
A fold or back side most times will show fairly accurate what the color once was .
