KC/IC real or busted?

German Knights Cross of the Iron Cross medal. Has L/15 for maker Otto Schickle on the suspension ring. The hanger loop is not marked. Sandwiched construction, rim tests for silver content, and core is magnetic. In very good condition.
So thoughts? You guy shave saved my bacon before so TIA!
