Iron Cross Cloth ?

I picked up a ww2 U.S. 69th Division grouping and this cloth cross was in it.
I have no idea what it really is?
I am sure it is junk.

The 1957 version of a bullion Iron Cross? Not very likely. IMO.

I too doubt it's supposed to be a 57 or even an Imperial with no date & that funky square in the middle. That said, it looks really well made...
