What spanish cross in silver with swords to buy

    Hello All,.
I am wondering what most people think is the premier maker of the Spanish cross in silver with swords, issued as well as private purchased types, if you where to only add one example to a collection, which one, and where does the Meybauer and 900 stamped ones fit into the picture?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
    Regards
    Wayne

    Hi Wayne,

My personal choice would always be the CEJ/900 marked Juncker Spanish Cross in Silver with swords. To me that cross is the highlight of ay collection.

I second that: a CEJ 900 followed by a Meybauer.

For me the highest quality cross is the 835 marked example attributed to deumer. Followed by early 900 juncker and crested meybauer. I'm not a great fan of the ldo pieces.

Would you prefer a Silver over a Gold (Juncker or Meybauer) one?

I'd go with a Meybauer first IMO.

"Spain Cross" is the German translation and "Spanish Cross" the English translation - you take your pick.

SpanISH is not a correct translation.

The award does not read Spanisch. Then and only then is the translation to Spanish.

I have always liked to own a cased Spanish Cross in Silver with swords, and will add one in the coming year.
Happy New Year to One and All,

Everybody knows that the correct translation is Españakreuz or Españacross.
                              Ohhhhh man........I’m always clarifying
To me, Meybauer has the best design.
