              Is the frame magnetic ... I see what looks like to be -rust- on the frame .??
              I would say it is a 'lazer' copy of an original S&L ... made into a KC .

                  I have had a close look at it because I just left it in the estate of a,ww2 veteran it appears to be made from original parts by s and l but very poorly compared to actual s and l technical skills. I think parts reassembled by veteran either wartime or postwar most likely post war !
                  Oh I included side by side for comparison

                    I think the frame is what an unplated is ! And no frame not magnetic but the core is perfect and magnetic!
