              Dear WRanG, Byakkotai. Ludwig,

Thank you for your comments on the Spanish cross.

The problem with opinions is everyone has one.

              Your three opinions are NO.

Then Brian S offers his opinion and it says GENUINE.

So what am I to believe, the opinion of 3 or the opinion of 1 ?

I have no fear of a negative response to the Spanish Cross this is why I posted
the cross on the Wehrmacht site.I did this to get some honest answers backe by evidence, not opinions.

If it is a FAKE BNL cross in your 3 opinions, what are the characteristics of a FAKE cross against a REAL BNL cross shown in evidence.

Otherwise we have a Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh approach, where an opinion by the accuser was not backed with proof , which thankfully resulted in Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh.

Please submit any proof to show why this medal is a fake ,as all members are here to learn from the expertise of others and I am willing to accept any evidence of proof.

I look forward to your findings.

THANK YOU for all your comments.

              Regards Steven.

It has always been my understanding that a droop tail eagle was the first sign of a fake SC!? Were there exceptions?

As i said, its is known as a droop tail / drop tail fake. If you look at other crosses you easily would see a difference, not only in the eagles tail swoop, but also its head. The one on the cross you show looks a bit more like a seagull than a eagle, i dont have any photos of that maker on my phone but here is one from a s&l. It should look more along those lines

This Spain cross has a typical post war hardware.
                    Sloppy soldering (the eagles).
                    Sloppy maker´s marking.
This Spain cross doesn´t look like any of the known originals.

Yes indeed it is a fake Spain Cross but it is a genuine Spanish cross.

                      Do you not see?

                        I hope that is clear.

The SK document does not say spanish cross.

                        It says Spain Cross.

                          Dear Members,

THANK YOU so much for clarifying your comments.

The pleasure of collecting WW2 German items is the vast knowledge of collectors World wide, especially the ones on this Wehrmacht site.

This is why we post suspect items to get some closure on there authenticity.

                          You have all proved this.

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !

                          Regards Steven.
