Hi Garrett,
Both crosses are known copies, simply as that. They started flooding the market back in the mid to late 80s. There are (or at least have been) plenty of other threads on "Floch" and L/21 screwback 1939EK1 repros.

Sorry, but it sounds like you have a bad EK1 Screwback. There are NO genuine L/21 screwbacks as far as I know. It would not be inconceivable that a repro L/21 marked screwback device may have been "married" to a genuine EK, however I've heard that the repro L/21 screwback device uses a different thread to genuine WW2 examples so this may NOT actually be possible.
If you look closely and Garrett's two examples, you will note that, although they have different markings and reverse attachment assemblies, the OBVERSE core and beading details are the same. If your obverse details are also the same, you have a repro - sorry.
