Do all Ek I's have a magnetic core ?

Hi Guy's I have an EK I that looks good to me. What I mean by that is it appears to be three piece construction. I can see a noticable seam around the edges, and the center is definitely separate from the front silver trim. There are no maker marks (the pin is broken) and the core is not magnetic. Another thing that I noticed was that the arms on the swaz look thinner then on my Ek II.

Hi Ross,

No, not all genuine EK1s have iron cores, however many repros don't have iron cores either. Unless your two EKs are by the same maker, the swas difference is not definitive. You need to post some pics for any sort of informed answer.

Nothing screams repro from the EK1 images - maybe Souval beading?
