S&L...? Looks like S&L pin, and the front date looks consistent with #4
I will now await the experts to weigh in, however.

Not sure if this cross is original. The pin, the "1939" cause me some concern.

That is not a S&L core and think it is post war made .
We had a EK2 with same frame here recently that was deemed post war with another core . Case looks good .
