    EK 1. Klasse 1914 mit Wiederholungsspange 1939

    Dear forumites:

I just came back from Germany. I visited the show in Stuttgart and I took some pictures. The above-mentioned piece caught my attention, but I hesitated to purchase it, because I wasn't 100% convinced. Was I correct in my assumption or did let go through my finger a potential good deal? Unfortunately I do know too little about these rare clasps combination in order to risk Eur 750.- / 800.-.

I am eagerly waiting for your interesting comments on it.

    Here's the obverse:

    Ciao,

I must add that this piece had a very "strange" over all patina. The IC looks quite good as a thirty years produced piece. I have to pass to comment the Wiederholungsspange. I can only say that I liked the detail, especially of the head. I was a bit skeptic about the maker's mark on the back. Here's the reverse.

    Ciao,

    Claudio

I think you made a wise choice in saving your money. I have seen this type of Deschler stamps on 1870/1914 fakes. Also the Crown looks wrong.

Not buying that piece was money well saved. Who was selling it?

Not wishing to jump on the bandwagon but I echo the above. Wouldn't touch it.
