Hi Guys

I have owned a couple in the past - please could I get your thoughts on these 2?

The first one is of the most commonly encountered type being the F.Schmitt attributed kind - these are heavily faked. This example is of much nicer quality than the modern fakes - better materials and construction.

The 2nd one I haven't seen the like of previously.

Both have signs of being tunic removed.

Grateful for any thoughts

Like what I see, that just me It looks that the blue one was glued at some surface in the past. You are right there are clear traces and evidence of stitches, suggesting that this was uniform removed

Amazing that a decorated soldier would have got himself and worn a heraldically erroneous award such as this blue cored IC, maybe inspired by the Blue Max.

Marco - I guess it could be more to do with some Imperial EK's having a blued core giving them a navy blue hue in the light

I find it hard to believe these are even being discussed,,I guess thats how baloney slips into this hobby,,,slowly
