    Cross of the Warsaw Uprising

    Hello everyone,

I'm a new user on this forum and new to the militaria hobby in general. I recently came across this listing on eBay and found it to be interesting. Supposedly, these repurposed Iron Crosses were used as an informal award during the Warsaw uprising. There's a Wikipedia article about it, and I found another entry in an old book about these, but the whole thing smells somewhat dubious. Does anyone know more about these? Thanks for your help.

As far as i know there is no evidence that these crosses is real. I have seen quite a few in various states of craftmanship...

I've never heard primary source accounts of these existing during the Uprising.

Agreed. I don't think the EK is original anyway. This is a fantasy piece.
