I thought i would give my humble opinion. There are many things I don't like about this cross and to be honest these out way the things I do like but at the end of the day it comes down to the quality of the pictures which lack the kind of details one likes to see in order to give a more qualified response. On the front of the cross I cannot see the flaws associated with a Zimmerman cross. I am not saying they are not there but i cannot see them either at 11 oclock on the star or on the numerals of the date shield. The wreath also lacks the detail I would expect as does the swastika but again the pictures do not do the cross any justice. The star burst also looks tatty and damaged in key areas. The reverse shows the cross wants to be a Zimmerman light but i do not like the donuts or the hook. To be fair the hook could be misshapen. From the angle of the picture the maker mark does not look to bad but again a close up face on would be appreciated. If I had to make a choice to buy this cross from the pictures shown I would not do so. Get clearer pictures showing details of key area both myself and others would appreciate that but if these are all you have then i understand its difficult. Just my half pennies worth.

The back plate looks pitted on the edges of the rays and in between them. The engraving on the reverse is another matter again

Not for my collection, the rivets, the wreath with date field. It pretend to be a Zimmermann but IMO it is not.

The rivets, the bad red enamel, the pitting... I do not like this cross.

IMO it´s not a 100% original Zimmermann DKiG

Sometimes the 10'00 flaw appear at 7'00 and it seems to be there . I need better pictures. If possible bigest pictures of the date, rivets (all four rivets), hanger and deteriorated areas of the star. I don't like "throw the spoon" too fast. If fake (as the guys say) somebody took a lot of time doing his job and knew very well what he was doing....interesting fuk**** cross.

I didn't like to use the word fake but my thinking was the same as yours. There were things that appeared ok and other things that I could not make out due to the picture quality. The poster was asking our opinions from the pictures but as you rightly stated from these pics not possible. I would not purchase if these are all I had to go on. Better pictures would be nice as I am curious about this one. The maker number looks good but its weird that the star is damaged right at crucial points. Numerals look a little fuzzy but again the pictures quality could be to blame. Rivets look weird and seem flat. The pin looks good. Lets wait for better pictures.
