Hello guys!
I don´t collect iron crosses, but I couldn´t let this one go. Not a special maker, just a unmarked 100, but it has a nice sincere fieldmade engraving with gives som nice info, the name and rank of the soldier Oskar Schreck, Ober Maschinenmaat also the date he was awarded it 20.4.42 and the unit he belonged to 1. Schnellbootsflottille.
When doing further research in the HMA database I found a Lt.ing. Oskar Schreck who saw service in U-369 at the end of the war, to my information it was a school-submarine used for training crews. The career and time matches.
Any input/info highly appriciated.
