    Taste test

    Hello Soviet,
Good judgement call regarding a taste test.
Same “signature” quote! Santayana, the philosopher-poet. I wonder how many members use his words.

In the closing days of the war there were many many soldiers of different nationalities fighting the Russians - here in Budapest during the siege there were two Spanish Legion soldiers who had been wounded previously and had been interned in a hospital here - they volunteered to fight the Russians with the Vanyist Battalion (a student battalion). So its not a stretch of the imagination...

Sauhaufen is sorta slang for a pig sty.

And I must say, I like the fact that Miraul is remaining positive about this. We can only make assumptions based on pictures, but Miraul is sticking by his guns, and remaining cordial and patient. Wherever these came from, a lot of people would've gotten upset and defensive much earlier than this. Kudo's for that.

But it still doesn't seem to add up. Much like Rounders!

                  Ground conditions

It's not uncommon for items to survive in various states in the ground.
..Sandy soil usually attacks organic items, but can (in some circumstances) tend to slow the aging process.

I have pieces of actual parachute and steel buckles harnesses from T5 parachutes ( with original paint) which have been recovered from foxholes in Holland.
The soil there is very sandy ... !!

..And with the EK's, don't forget the core has a good coat of paint for corrosion to get through first, and the silver border should age well in the ground.

                      Of course...

...these could have been buried only several years ago.
