Spanish Cross original?

I picked this up in a group of stuff and was wondering if it was original or not. I have my doubts but I'd like to see what y'all think.

Good lord, that is an ugly one! Horrible quality! First red flag, regardless of construction, will always be a downturned tail on these. No need to look any further!!

Thanks for the opinions on it. I was pretty sure it was bad I just wanted to be 100% before I used it as a fishing weight or something.
