EK II "21" marked, comments wanted!

    Hi Guys!

This one have currently poped up in big quantity (20-30 pieces) here in Norway via a German dealer. The reputation of this dealer is very mixed based on what I have heard. Is it good?

Whow! what about the big quantity? Has there been found a big storage of this EK II some where in Europe recently?

            Regards

I, personally, am suspicious but I cannot fault the cross, but then one couldn't fault the 333 EKII's either except for the bogus maker number.

But where do they come from

Just spoken with a friend of mine who is attending to the Stuttgart show, He told me that two German dealers down on the parking lot had plastic bags with around 10-15 pieces of the same 21 marked EK II in their pockets.

Do anyone know where they have found this storage of 21 marked EK II ?
There must have been some since several German dealers have them for sale!
The manufactures of such medals, did they ship cardboard boxes of 100 pieces of EK II to a division/Regiment ? And that such shipment have been found recently?

I have a near mint EK2 with a 21 marking. It has nice frosting and is of high quality, just as expected from awards made by Godet. I see nothing wrong with these. Are we not talking about the same fear we had or have around 26 marked EK1´s and RK´s by K&Q ?

                  Cheers.

Not to mention that the frame and obverse core die characteristics appear identical to those of the Godet EK 1.

I've been following this issue because I wanted to buy one of this crosses. In the last three months I have seen 7 of this crosses sold. 4 here on the e-stand and 3 on militariaweb. Both sellers were german and all the crosses were in near mint condition. I'm a newbie and I'm in no condition to raise suspitions on this issue, but this 21 fever must have a logical explanation. A finding?
