    EK1 1939 worn with case - Opinion

    Hello Guys,
I received this EK1 today. The color of reverse is different of the others EK1 that I have in my hands.
It is a good EK1 and case?
    Regards,
    Schmidt

This cross is not a known type.

The hardware on the reverse is known and authentic, used by Juncker, but the obverse is totally odd. I can't tell if it's a Frankenstein with modern fake parts, a postwar parts cross, or a variant because I don't recognize the core or the frame at all.

Sanya, can you show another of this type?
              Best regards,

Thanks Sanya. Either this cross is a Frankenstein with original hardware (which I think it must be) or the photos show the front and backs of two different crosses.

Here is the hardware on an original.

                    1.jpg

One tactic fakers use is to mix original parts with fake parts in an effort to muddy the waters about what it authentic.

For example I have seen fake Deumer Schinkel cores in authentic Deumer frames.

This is an attempt to make people believe the fake Schinkel core is authentic.
                    Best regards,
