German Cross in Gold x2 - info please.

    Hi,
I have two German Crosses in Gold (please see attached photos) which I want to sell. Neither of the two Crosses has a makers name, so I was hoping that someone would be able to advise me as to who the makers might have been. (The back of the second of the Crosses is in fact NOT so dark as it appears in the photographs).
The reason I ask about the Crosses is that as I said I only want to sell the Crosses and would like to give the full and accurate information. Any advice would be appreciated,
    Thanks in advance,
    Terry.

        German Crosses x2

        Hi Snoopy,
It's easy to say that something is bad, and you may well be right I just don't know, - I am definitely not a medals man - that's why I asked about them, but WHY are they bad? What's wrong with them? There HAS to be a reason why they are bad.
        Anyway, thanks for your input,
        Cheers,
        Terry

They don’t match any war-time maker, they look like post war S&L.

I don't think these are post war St&L either.... In addition to an original Zimmerman (silver), I have a St&L (57er Gold) - which has the same hardware and characteristics as the version that was made when no one was looking.... neither of the crosses here come close. The real tell with these is the rivets and the needle assembly - poor quality. I'd guess these have a retail value of $25.00 each ($40 for both).

As stated both these awards are not originals imo. The wreaths on both crosses, the star bursts, center plates, swastika and enamel, rivets, pin and hook assemblies are not characteristic of known makers. They are both quite ugly and I saw similar copies many years ago. As to value I cant help with that. I would not buy them if that is of any help

Both crosses are fake (not postward S&L......do not arrive, if were you will have something, but not). Simply, terribles fakes. If you like to fish, you have a good lead to your hook. Sorry for my radical opinion.
