German Cross in silver

Information anyone...

The Item is a German Cross in silver as far as preservation goes it's spot on... BUT...
the the makers mark on this one comes up as 20 (CF Zimmermann) the MM on this one funnelly
enough appears (horizontally) on the outer side of the pin rather than the inside of the pin...

The other interesting this is that it has 4 domed rivets ..

Real Zimmy Mark

Here is what a good one looks like. The mark is on the underside of the pin. Real pins are stamped or die cut, that one appears to be a die casting. It also appears the pin comes straight out of the hinge, real ones go straight up and are bent about 80 degrees and head towards the catch. If you do any type of search under german cross and zimmerman you will likely see what I'm talking about. If not I can take a few more pics. Less obvious may be the shape of details like the date and wreath. My best advice is search all threads, print the pics and comments, and then go shopping. There are fakes that have much better pins than this one but the shape of the numbers in the mm are wrong. Good Luck!
