I know these are quite plentiful, but fakers will fake anything, right? Its been sitting in a case for years and I never thought to post it. Ribbon is in nice shape. Thoughts?

Ribbons

Tom had a diagram with some in-depth construction details on period ribbons; but couldn't find it right off hand - but here's a quick pic showing the difference in edge weave though:

Here's another one I picked up in a bulk lot. The ribbon is sun-bleached, but I imagine this is an example of an original ribbon based on the comparison picture posted?

Thank you Chet, the education I receive here is invaluable. On a side note, is this the only correct pattern ribbon for this medal? I only ask as I have another one where the ribbon pattern is different.
