EKII spange

Hello everyone,

Just picked up this nice EKII spange today.

Can't see any markings on it (as much as I have tried - don't wanna ruin it too much)
The finish is still pretty good IMO.

One "pin" has fallen off, but was in the package.

Anyhow, pleased to hear your thoughts/comments.

Just wondering what "gave it away" as a Deschler?

From what I gather re EKII Spanges, can't seem to see anything about Deschler spanges..

the posted example does not give me a good feeling- the ribbon is fake for a start and the prongs are wider than I would expect. The one Jim posted is how I would expect a genuine one to look, I think yours has been cast from an original. And I am fully happy that this type of spange is genuine, at least one period photo of it in wear has surfaced.

I agree the first piece seems to be fake (many of this design are) but that there are originals of this design.
