Iron Cross EK2 opinions needed

Hi all, I am a new collector. Its hard for me to confirm the authenticity from the photos, but I'm hoping some of you with experience can let me know what you think regarding the authenticity. It is stamped '1' and I am considering paying 80 pounds. Also is the iron center repainted? It looks too clean to me compared with others I have seen.

Any advice is appreciated.

It is an original W&L EKII, with untouched core, NOT repainted. Look at the ring stamp once more; it should be ‘100’.

Thank you Andy and Robert for your input. Actually, I have not yet purchased this but I am considering it, just the ribbon is a bit discoloured. These are my two other choices below. Please tell me what you think of these also - I will be purchasing one of the three!

1. Is said to have maker mark 137




2. Not sure about this one

My favorite are the W&L cross but it is upp to you to choose what you like.

IMO W&L crosses are the nicest.

You can get a cleaner piece of original ribbon easily enough.
