    EK1 By ZIMMERMAN for Review

This one is marked "6" on the pin, which I believe is for maker Fritz Zimmerman.. Have had this for years, but never looked into it. Comments welcome.

I dont like it... Never saw a zimmerman with that needle setup... Cant remember seeing on with that heavy beading flaw on the 6'o clock arm
i am by no means an expert on it though... So better wait for more experinced eyes

In response to your comment about the design flaws at the 6 o'clock location, I believe I found the same flaw on the (see link below)Sebastian Bianchi Iron Cross site. I am hoping others will chime in on this one. I don't think that I misread the maker Mark? Meaning a 9 not a 6??

Agree with the others. This is not a original example.

                    Question here...

                    Douglas and Andy-
The 6 shown here as a correct one...is this the only type of 6 thst you will find on a correct ek1? In other words, are the correct ones made with the same exact stamped number 6??
                    Thanks, Frank

                      Frank,
There are different types of sixes within the cross collecting community. However, the one shown by Douglas is the only accepted type to be found on a Fritz Zimmermann EK1. There are other issues with your cross and the six is just one of them.
