Peter,
I understand your comment, but I love my one RK. She is the Monte Cassino RK to a man who barely made it out alive after being credited with stopping the allied advance during first Monte Cassino. The documents in the group are magnificent, and the cross screams history. I could have shelves of other awards with the money, but there is only one group like mine.
The only problem is my wife makes me take her off in bed...

Hello everyone. I hope that I won't offend anyone here looking to buy a KC, but I am glad that prices are going up for them. It tells me that demand is still there, and that it was right to "buy now rather than later."
Like Flak88, I also own one KC&OL that I love. It's attributed to a panzer general and one of the highlights in my collection.

I would refuse to pay that kind of money for an unattributed award. If there was a story behind it, perhaps but this is just nuts. The problem is now that someone paid that price for it, others will start selling for the same price and if you want and RK you won't have a choice but to fork over that $$$

Yes but Herr winkler did have the USD at par thing going a while ago didn't he? Was this one sold at Par or for actual Euros?
Let's also remember that lots of stuff on Kai's site goes unpurchased as it is too darned pricey. I believe this will be the exception rather than the rule. At least I hope so anyway

Greg said it, if it is not attributed to someone, these kind of prices are just stupid to pay.
