            I believe he's saying this cross was artificially aged using acid to make it look old. The pin doesn't appear to be from any known maker. At least nothing I'm aware of.

                  These crosses are a little bit controversial but I believe it is a good, wartime period cross possibly made by Walter & Henlein of Gablonz.
