I have no probelm with case at all, this is one of two (that I'm aware of as a novice)versions of the MM in the lid for this award maker. I would suspect the box to be KB made, if you were to lift the base insert you'd find the letters KB for the maker and the base designation number, hence this base was suitable for a mulitude of awards including the EK 1.

The cross I've no idea on, and thats best left to the experts.

The case is OK. The EK is OK but it´s not a Maybauer, it´s a Souval EK in wrong case.

                      Marcus,
                      Spot on.

I lifted it as it was not stuck down ,underneath the piece that removed had raised letter and numbers ' 62 1 KB '.
I think the case is sorted, now what maker is the cross ? is it also PM Berlin ?
