          Cash is King

          Hey Panzermann,

Once I had a guy similar but, w/ a PLM. I had looked @ it a couple of times w/ no success. I then showed up up a pocket of $100. bills & spread them out, presented my offer & he went for it. Never give up! Something about an amount of cash in face that changes ones mind.

          Good luck!

            "Show him the Money"

I agree with the other guys. If you show up with several clones of Ben Franklin, he will be hard pressed to ignore it. Before I did that I would go in and ask what else he had lately. Casually ask what it would take to buy the big boy and have the wad ready. A cased S & L RK is $7-10K The oaks are likely worth more than that. $15,000 would still be a great deal! I'd offer $10,000 but have $12,000 in pocket. And for GOd's sake take pics if nothing else!!!! Good Luck!

jim... you do have a spare room at your house right? hell, i'll bunk with chester (darrell and dion, you're on your own!).

i just want you to take me to the shop can't manage an RK right now, but it sounds like he has other goodies.

revolutionary war items and on up... DAMN MAN, why limit yourself... buy some of it all

seriously though, congrats on finding the shop again... and getting to at least see that gem up close. the real sad thing here is that the ONLY militaria item i have found here (having went into about 20 "antique" stores) has been a very tired heer belt buckle in moderately poor condition...

and the genius wants $250 for it... cause it's "a real nazi piece"
