I agree with Ben ,this the piece similarity than the S&L type ,but not same . IMO not good .
but wait a another member opinion too.

As said it is similar to the S&L but the head is wrong, the cut out on the right side is too deep. Here is an S&L to compare against. Jim

I have seen this clasp with a "107" marking a few times.
It is not an accepted original.

Just want to take a brief moment to share with you an funny story to the end of the year.
After your comments today i decided to call the old fellow who sold me that grouping what belonged to his father.
I told him that unfortunately this clasp is aviously not a good one. To say i got the entire grouping from him which belonged to his father . His father a colonel fell in 1944. Anyhow back to the story. I told him that the clasp is bogus according to the experts..... He asked me if i was already drunk because it is the last day of the year. I repeated that i am a non alcoholic why he would asked me that. To say he got actually pissed off at me. Maybe i am a case for the closed psychiatry he continued. I started to laugh and told him that i would feel quite well. Then he asked me how i could imagine that this clasp which came with many other medals, docs, photos etc. from his father could not be a good one. How his father could have gotten a clasp which accordingly to my statement could not have existed at that time? I said but that you should tell me somebody must have added it to the grouping probably after the war. He told me in not so harsh words that i am full of **** ant that this grouping was never touched laying in the villas safe for all the years after the wars end. Who could have been adding this "fake clasp" to a safe where only he and his close family had acces to? I ended the chitchat as i run out of ideas and because he started to demand the grouping which is a nice GCIG grouping back . That i certainly didn´t want of course. Wishing him all the best for the coming year i ended the phonecall.
