    single mount kvk

    hi guys,
this single mount kvk has been in my collection for a while. on the back is a makers label, is this label just for the firm that mounted it or also for the producer of the award itself? very interested in your opinions.

    greetings Rik

    Rik,
Can't answer your question but that is a wonderful example of a single mount kvk.

It would be for the store that sold the award and/or ribbon.

        Beautiful piece!

Just speculation on my part, but I would think that the award was given to the mounting firm (named on the reverse side of the mount) to have it mounted.and this is the completed specimen/product.

Beautiful KVK single with label Rik. I agree with Albert & Robert: the label was affixed by the tailor/retail shop that mounted the medal, not the medal maker. Not that easy to find as a single mount, let alone with a label!
