IC 1st class Schinkel Silver 800 vaulted

This came from a noble family directly to me. On one pic it looks like the frame is open but that´s only a dark line of patina. It´s perfect in reality.

No, it´s not a Schinkel.

A very interesting and possibly unique Iron Cross. Could you imagine one more (unknown) early war Berlin pre Prasidialkanzlei maker using left over Imperial stock creating a hybrid of sorts. The Straight Nine and the Meybauer screwback Schinkel come to mind. Anyway there is an 800 marked Imperial cross with an identical hinge and pin on page 194 of The Iron Time.
