    Pin back KvK. !st or 2nd Class?

    Hello all,
    Would like your opinions on this pin back KvK.
    I think it's a 1st class but, it's kinda hard to tell.
    As always I appreciate your time and expierience.

      If the reverse is smooth and it has a pin or screw back, it is a 1st. class.
      This is a nice original by Wilhelm Deumer and the maker mark is correct.

        Thanks rb for the very quick reply.
        It looked good to me, but I really couldn't tell by the wash that was remaining if it was 1st or 2nd class.
        I truly appreciate the information, never even noticed the finish difference.

          Nice Deumer 1st class in zink

          As Ralph said the difference is easy enough to ID irrespective of how much finish is left (even on later zink pieces): the first class is a one sided pin back cross while the second class is 2 sided (1939 onback wreath) bronze coloured cross with a ribbon loop at top
