      That one is so heavily worn that there is no more stiffness. However, there is a rougher feel to it.

        some thread counts

        Here are some of my counts just to make it (a little more) interesting:
        Plain RK 25
        oaks 25
        o/s 25
        rounder 25 (!)
        5 cm ribbon 28
        Souval copies from 1960's 20 and 22 ( 20 glows, 22 doesn't)
        Latvian fake 17 (and glows)

          Peter- try photographing and then blowing up the images. Otherwise you will go blind.

                Thanks Guys

                Keep the measurements coming! So far, we have established at least three distinct weave stiffness due to stitch density. It would appear that most original ribbons are 25 stitch per white band, but there are originals with 22, 23, and 30 per white stripe!
