Inscribed DKiG by Deschler for review

    Hello All,

Share with everyone my recent pick up, a DKiG by Deschler. It is a heavy version one, around 70g. Heavy version Deschler is always my favorite, and normally I prefer a DKiG in nice unused unworn condition.

But this one really got my attention and has lots of characteristics. It has a replaced pin and inscribed on the back "Karl Furbringer, Wels-OD, Vielgut Str. 3". I believe that's the award winner's name and address. My question is, can someone help search his information? I don't have the DKiG book in hands. It will be great to know the stories behind this DKiG. Many thanks!

    Shawn

        Beautiful cross.

Can we see more pictures of the hinge? I'm just a wannabe, but maybe it has been replaced?

        Thanks.

Unfortunately I don't. But I just googled KG76, the Luftwaffe bomber group, and found that they almost operated throughout the entire war from 1939 to 1945. In Sep. 1942, they supported a planned assault on Leningrad. So probably that's the operation that made Karl the DKiG winner.
