Knight's Cross Thoughts & Opinions Needed

    Hey guys,

A German veteran donated this to a local museum. Unfortunately, the museum did not record the veteran's name.

Was not donated with the standard box...but rather a custom presentation box.

Sadly, I only have these photos for now...

    but...

There are only 3 pilots who served with JG2 who received the oak leaves and swords...2 of them were KIA...the other lived his life in Europe after the war.

    AND...

Apart from the two African/Tunisian locations...and recognizing some of the hand-written names as MIA's...many names written do not mean anything to me...

    Thoughts?

I will try to get more pics later...

    TIA

from these fotos it Looks like the ring is flat like a schickle but the 3 in the date looks like the 835 marked crosses which are thought to be post war .

The Oakleaves & Swords are post war Souval made. IMO the RK is just a cheap fake in bad condition.

        Craziness...

I wonder why the old German vet had it?

I know the pics aren't good (bad lighting)...but are we 100% sure on this?

Oaks are 100% fake. RK most likely too, unless better pics surprise the hell out of us.

What Tom said about the OLS. Later Souval. That cross looks like a one piece copy. Can't tell because the photo is very unclear.
