before putting this cross on the Estand I would like to have your confirmation about my thoughts:
Data:
Object: Knights Cross to the IC, three piece construction, zinc core, weigt: 24,3g, measurements: 47,76x54,43. No markings.
In my opinion the cross is a genuine RK made by CE Juncker. It represents a very early example produced in late 1939 - approx 1. quarter of 1940. The cross-hatching on the front is almost worn off but it can still be determined on the reverse. The Sprungring is missing unfortunately, maybe because the recipient received a higher grade of the RK.
This type of cross was the very first type to be awarded from Sept. 1939 onwards. Because of the greyish appearance of the worn-off core this type can be easily determined on period photos, such as on Baumbach, Dönitz, Küchler, Löhr and vGreim, just to name a few.
