Iron Cross Stamped 26

Hello Everyone.

I am hoping that you could give me some information regarding this Iron Cross which has seen better days as you can see. To the back is a stamped '26' on the pin as shown in the photographs.

Any help as to authenticity and level would be greatly appreciated.
