What better pictures can do !

Hi Mike ,,, well with those pictures one can do a lot more now .

So much so it can be determined that ; it is a very early war time 3piece cross made by S&L .
Keeping S&L frames apart from to others supplied frames is a colossal task .
I could not do much with the first pictures and was undecided between S&L or W&H ?

The last pictures I was able to pull up to about 1000% with out getting too blurry .
Then the top frames flaws were identifiable . A cross frame type many may find interesting - strange and "lost" ... not a typical S&L .

Sanya will be surprized (as we discussed this cross last month ) - and other participants and readers that may have seen one as they are out there but not really rare either .

This early odd S&L die we find in 2 frame forms :
    With lug and
With out lug .... with the flaws on the top arm mostly in various - flaw development stages .

Once again the importance of details ....... !

The S&L Lug frame variant - found with and without lug :
The corresponding comparison match .... by the top frame flaws .
With out them easy to see it as a possible W&H ...

Thank you very much Douglas for an excellent explanation of why my EK2 was made by S&L and what the indicators were. Also Sanya thanks for spurring me on to post somewhat better pics that made identifying this cross easier for the experts like Douglas and yourself. I just want to say in closing this is hands down the best militaria site by far, thanks again folks.

          Mike
