Help identify iron cross for me

Hello folks, I recently acquired an iron cross second class and there doesn't appear to be a number or identifying mark on the ring. Can you all take a look at this iron cross and tell me what you think? Thanks a bunch.

If you can post better close-up photos it would be easier to make a better assessment. From the photos I have seen it looks ok.

You need better photos with close-ups on the straight

I will try to get better close up shots when my son gets home, he is my I.T. person.

The pictures from this link are better, but the cross is in terrible shape.
I would not be surprised if it turned out that it is a post-war "flatboat" (fake)

Thank you for your input. Can you explain a little further what a "Flatboat fake" means? The cross doesn't look that bad when it isn't magnified To add to this it does appear to be multi piece construction with a seam along the edges of the cross along with the center being very magnetic and the edges seeming to be much less magnetic,if that made any sense
