And another, notice the Hinge and Catch as well as the maker mark differ from the one posted significantly... These were taken from a Gold version but it is my understanding that the mm's were the same...

It's just you Many of us are all learnig as we go so the best we can do is observe every little difference. The Catch on yours is Oval, The Maker Mark is very elongated, and the hinge system appears to be different as well. Yours is smaller (Hinge). Notice also that on the two I have posted the Rivits are quite close to the Hinge System, almost touching in fact... The Red Enamel seems to be more orangy but that could be the bad picture, can't really tell much from that picture, clearer photos would help.

The Maker Mark is what gets me most. As I said we are all learning about these but that mm is what bothers me. I am not saying if the cross is good or bad (I am not the expert here), but I have included pics from known originals for you to help form your own opinions from, or at least to use as a reference from other Zimmermans.

Your best bet would be to ask Frank and company to weigh in here as they have seen many many originals and many fakes as well of this DKIS.
