    Unusual pair on dealers website

    Ian Foster Militaria has just listed a court mounted pair being a KVKII with swords and Cross of Honor for widows and orphans. It must be quite unusual and probably unofficial? Could that grade of C o H be worn on the uniform?

    That kind of trapezoid bar is very easy to manipulate. In this case a Prussian Erinnerungskreuz from 1866 and a KDM from 1870 have been removed and the other medals you mentioned have been substituted.

      That makes sense, thanks. I wonder if it was deliberate or maybe if the original medals were missing someone replaced them with wrong ones?

        Somebody wanted to earn an extra $ by adding the medals to the ribbon bar.
        The idiot took the wrong medals, as these imperial ribbons are a bit similar to the
        ribbons of the medals added.
