    EK 2 not magnetic core

I have got a little group today. There was this EK 2 with not magnetic core.
I am not up to date with Ek2 prices. It´s more worth than a magnetic EK 2?

Nice items . That 'Spaten" unusual .
That EK2 -condition wise -would go for more than a regular mag EK2 .

Sorry, but I do not associate the existence of a non-magnetic EK2-1939 cross type "S&L Design"... IMO it's post-war.

My guess is that his EK2 has a zinc core . S&L had EK1s with copper/brass cores so conceivable to had put out non magnetic EK2s .

              Now to caseys EK2 . A S&L style frame with a 24 used core . The components I can show exist on original early 24 EK2s .

I cannot say who used but it seams not 24 themselves but they may have supplied the die to some one else . .. as the cross is the normal EK2 size .
I also cannot imagine early dies having survive to the end of the war to be bought for post war production .

Just the frame comparison alone showing a S&L frame .

What every one will be interested in is the core which is a mixed 24 core die set . The reverse date is very unique with the climbing numbers .
If it was me I would sell components I no longer would be using .... the thin Swas and off kilter core reverse .

I put up the unm 24s I have to show where the core dies come from .

                      Good job Douglas.

But if this non-magnetic core is a secondary post-war "cast", then we will not find its full counterpart in the war crosses. Just similarities. IMO.

No - we have matching war time components ... not a cast at all . I am quit sure it matches to my -1- .
I know you want a full identical cross in wide frame . Using 2 different crosses was not my first choice .

I need a better front date picture from Casey without shadows , please .

Is it possible to get a bright close up of the front date ??

                          Thanks, Douglas
