    RK Copy

Is this a souval rk copy? It is 3 piece construction and the core looks repainted.

Not a Souval reproduction in my opinion.

    Cheers.

I think this is a Souval. By report, it has a low swastika. It has a "dipping 3" on the date. It has the "boxy" K&Q appearance. I do not have a Souval, but the beading seems to match as well.

I found a scann of my old Souval. It is similar with flat swastika and dipping 3, but the ring on top of the frame is not.

        Cheers.

Yep, just what I was thinkinging too. It's the top ring that is different.

There is glare on the photo around the base of the ring. Check out the photo on p. 467 of Gordon's book, as it appears a match with regard to the beading and shape of the date and overall shape of the cross.

It is interesting when we are discussing which fake this most closely approximates!

The loop ring looks more like that of an S&L copy. There is one on page 470 in Gordon's book, except that this one does not have any markings.

Look at the two Souvals on page 467. The one to the left has a ring that looks like Peter's cross. The one on the right has one that looks like the cross above. Again, this cross has the "dipping 3", beading match, and shape. What else could it be?

Hold on guys! are you sure that this is even a 3 piece? the frame looks rough in any case no burnishing. I have a Souval GC and the frame is very nicely finished.

It is. I will include picture when the attachment option is back on.
