With what seems to be an uptick in interest in the Kriegsverdienstkreuz series of awards, I thought I would share my collection. Though the Iron Cross will always be the more desirable award to most, I do have to say that I think the KVK has a very pleasing appearance and I have enjoyed collecting them.

Das Ritterkreuz des Kriegsverdienstkreuzes mit Schwertern. Marked 900 silver. There is no makers mark present; however, it shows signs of being made by Deschler (die flaw on the number 3 of the year 1939 on the reverse).Comment
