    Spanish Cross Grouping

    Hi all,
    Since I am new to this I need some advice. I am looking to buy a Spanish Cross grouping on the Dasriech.co.uk web site. Toby at Das Reich has been very helpful. He is great. My dilema is the exchange rate problem. It drives the cost of this grouping up to approximately $1500.00 USD. I know it is hard to value groupings but wanted your opinions. I don't mind at all paying a little more but don't want to get carried away either.

      It is a very nice group, the music badge is interesting. The price is good in UK terms, but unfortunatly the Dollar is weak. I have had the same problem in reverse when the pound was very weak.

        I don't know colonel, that is one very sloppy Spanish Cross. Don is right about the swastikas in the eagles, they look like a ten year old filed them out and also soldered them on. I have a fair collection of images of Spanish Crosses by many makers and none look this crude. I also don't really care for that fat headed pin holding the main pin to the hinge.

        Jacques is the real SC expert, maybe you could get an opinion from him.

          I think the cross is fine. The pin has no problems and the eagles are as they should be. I would say look at the books you will see these carateristics. A great group, go for it.
