    Need a quick review - 57 grouping

Found a neat 57 group, can you tell me if these are legit?

The EK1 looks good and although I have none of the others I would say they are all OK too.

Out of curiosity, what's the going rate for a '57 CCC?

It depends. The one shown here is a late one, but one can also find early nice ones and I have seen them going for around 40 euros.

              Hi Brien,

It appears to be a nice looking grouping. All of the items EXCEPT the EK1 appear to be early and to have actually been worn. The EK1 appears to have a poor quality hand painted core so I'd suggest it's a post-80s collectors quality substitute/replacement (no wear on it either - looks new). The GAB has an interesting hinge/needle pin/catch assembly that I haven't seen on a 57er before - interesting!

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

They are all 57 pieces and most of them are mid to late issue .

The CCC has me puzzled it is a later issue piece with the black square not visible from the back BUT has a wartime pin as on early pieces . The later ones have a standard 57 needle pin . This is probably late 70,s .

The Gereral Assault is probably an early one going off the pin .

As for 57 ccc prices the earlier ones are going fairly cheap on Ebay when they appear . Winkler has a nice early silver one for 95 Euro,s .
