Kvk 1st Class with swords opinions please

    Hi guys,

A couple of weeks ago I've found this Kvk.
It seems to be a Friedrich Orth.
But is it an original one?
Is the case original aswell and belongs to this maker?

    Thanks in advance guys!

I've got a funny feeling you've got yourself a "FLOCH"
    & not an original Orth.

The blade tip on the 'left-side' sword sure resembles
the same as is found on the FLOCH KvK 1 with Swords.

Also, the sword blade is not the same width "entering the wreath"
as it is "coming out of the wreath" .. which it should be.

I have a funny feeling that the maker's mark is also wrong -
    "L15" versus "L/15".

The case looks to be okay!

As Ron says, there is something odd about the sword blades, from your rear photo tbey look different lengths however, if you could attach proper, straight on shots it would help.

The maker mark L15 and the hardware do match late war, Zinc made Orth KVK1s and certainly the hook, hinge and pin are Orth, not Floch.

Thanks to Douglas for doing the photos.

Yeah a real Orth L15 for me, not any issues with the swords

                Hi guys!
This is not a Orth cross, it is a fake on Orths L15 cross.

                Best Regards

I'm sorry that don't know how to post the pictures in the post itself.

                    Martin,

how can this be a fake when it is exactly the same die as the 15 marked Orth crosses?
It is a genuine Orth with the correct pin which was marked incorrectly L15 by Orth and used for some time.

                      Hi Dietrich!
If you look closely at the details on this cross and compare this with Orths 15 and L15 marked crosses then you'll see that these are not made in the same die as this cross is.

                      Best Regards
                      Martin
