minty on the front - no so on the back (storage problems?) new photos added. I was a bit impatient to get them uploaded last night so I used light bulb light - these are shot with good ol' sun.

and the back of the other one - like I said Panzerman - not exactly mint, but they look the best out of my meager collection.

Both are nice, storeing and wear makes the patina on them.

                Hello E,

I STILL think they look GREAT!!!

You don't see many 21's around. At least I haven't.

OK, well here is the story, I was in a fleamarket in Germany and freezing to death in the early moring hours so that I could get a great look at the stuff first. One guy was selling stuff from faucets to door handles, passed him up as he was still unloading stuff from his van. Came back later and I found a guy looking at an EK in a bag. I went over and saw he was rifling through a pack of 10 eks. Not all were the best condition, some rust, flaking paint, heavy crusty patina and the like, he offered the dealer a fair deal for the crosses which the dealer declined. The collector put them backa nd walked away. I picked up the 10 and started looking through them, as I was storting out the 'good' from the 'fair' another guy comes up and starts looking through my 'fair' pile. If I had the money I woudl have bought them all, but alas I am just a poor english teacher...So I picked the two with a makers mark and 'good' condition. The guy beside me quickly paid for the other 8 crosses, without giving me a chance to say otherwise. I only picked the two because I knew they had MM's, it was still fairly dark so I was unable to see the marks or the actual condition of the crosses. Then I walk by again and find the dealer brought out a photo album probably 180-220 photos 50% were from Afrika Corps the rest family and training before deployment. He wanted 60 euros for it - sadly I had to go back to the ATM and when I got back (even after telling him to hold the book) it was gone.... so 2 EKs, a KVK2 w swords and a flag was all I got. Thanks for your comments.

You lucky man, but could have been very very lucky.

I would love to own a real german flag.
